'I’ve always felt a kinship with nature and animals, and I’ve always felt it was my job to protect them as I would my friends and family. Most of my career has been devoted to working on protecting United States public lands from extractive industries, and volunteering in wildlife and animal rescue. Each legal victory that protected a native stream from degradation by non-native livestock, and of course each foster dog saved from a shelter, has brought fulfillment–but I’m very glad to have found my way to Population Balance, where I'm communications manager - as ultimately it is human excess that jeopardizes native streams, wildlife, and companion animals alike.

We are focused on empowering people across the world to help them create families that work for them and for the planet. It gives me great hope that everywhere in the world, where women have access to education and opportunity, they choose smaller families.'
